Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana organise recreational-educational activities on Saturday afternoons with the “St_art per tutti” programme (art for everyone). The events, aimed at children between ages 4 and 10, aim at developing creative skills and at stimulating the curiosity of visitors towards the exhibited works of art.
Listening with your eyes
Created in collaboration with the Università Ca’ Foscari of Venice and VEASYT, this project hopes to guarantee complete access to deaf children and families, both individually and in groups. The tours are led by LIS, Lingua dei Segni Italiana (Italian Sign Language), who will offer every tour and workshop of the st_art program.
Every school that wishes to do so can request this option, to agreeably involve deaf children who can lip-read or who know sign language.
Families can also participate in Saturday afternoon activities, presented by a dedicated instructor trained to lead and accompany—together with the other children and families—those who can’t hear.

Seeing with your hands
Created in collaboration with the association onlus Tactile Visione di Torino (Tactile Vision, Turin) and Lettura Agevolata (Assisted Reading) of Venice, the project, starting in January 2013, hopes to provide a series of service to guarantee the accessibility of the exhibitions of Punta della Dogana to blind or partially sighted visitors.
In addition to the traditional audio-guides available in the museum’s entrance, the exhibition will be furnished with special support materials, available for download on the website of Palazzo Grassi.
