San Moisè Church

San Moisè Church
Short description:
The baroque-style facade, based on a design by Alessandro Tremignon, dates from 1688. The bell tower standing on the right is in the typically shaped Venetian 14th century style with a brick spire.

The church was founded in the 8th century and is dedicated to San Vittore. In the 10th-century, it was reconstructed by a certain Moisè Venier who dedicated it to the patron saint of his name. The last interventions were made on its interior in 1632, while the Baroque façade was completed in 1668. The bell-tower stands to the right of the church and has the typical 14th century Venetian style of a grooved barrel, with a double lancet bell chamber with a cusp on an octagonal drum.
